Assignment Editor
CBS WFOR-TV in Miami has an opening for an Assignment Editor who can determine news assignments as supervised by the Assignment Manager and Managing Editor; Monitor law enforcement frequencies and fire frequencies on newsroom scanners for spot news; Telephone law enforcement and fire fighting agencies to learn if spot news must be assigned; check wires for on air bulletins or special reports and new story assignments; prepare a situationer describing in detail what stories are being covered, who is covering them, and approximately how much air time is required for each story; gather information by telephone on news stories which are not assigned to reporters; participate in story meetings to inform participants of events being covered; schedule remote trucks (ENG/SNG) for live news stories or interviews; develop contacts in community and cultivate those contacts for news stories; perform other duties which may be assigned from time to time bases upon events of the day.
Requirements:
Applicants should have a minimum 2 years assignment desk experience. Knowledge of television broadcasting and familiarity with South Florida area. Two years college.

Executive Producer
CBS 4/WFOR-TV, the CBS O & O in Miami, market #16, is looking for an aggressive, experienced Executive Producer.
Must be able to lead a strong team of enterprise reporters, producers, assignments editors, and anchors. The ideal candidate will have passion, creativity, and strong organizational skills. Must be a self-starter, be highly proactive; and have a strong editorial voice both in the editorial meetings and in the newsroom.
Must have strong knowledge of show production; be able to showcase using content and graphics; and be able to execute the vision of the television station consistently.
Must have strong writing and storytelling skills, as well as a strong ability to copy edit reporter scripts. Must have a strong understanding and ability to incorporate the web into daily coverage. The ideal candidate is a natural leader.
Three to five years experience as an Executive Producer preferred.

Associate Producer/Writer
CBS4 WFOR-TV in Miami has an opening for an Associate Producer/Writer who can work with Producer and Executive Producer on formatting and execution of broadcasts; participate in story meetings; check wire for news of interest; write stories assigned by Producer or Executive Producer; conduct interviews as assigned by Executive Producer or Assignment Manager; field produce live remotes as assigned; record special feeds and log when necessary; act as contact with reporters in field doing live shots; working knowledge of libel, slander and personal attack laws; perform other duties which may be assigned.
Requirements:
Applicants must have broadcast writing courses at college level. One year television news writing experience. Feed taking experience. Understanding of computer systems in newsroom. Two years college.

Studio Technician/Non Exempt
WFOR/WBFS-TV has an opening for a stage manager/teleprompter operator/robotics operator/Control room assistant for fast-paced newscasts, sports and other special programming.
Requirements:
Applicants should have previous experience as a studio technician. Candidates must be skilled in basic camera techniques, lighting and teleprompter; as duties will also include filling other studio/control room positions when needed. Robotic camera experience necessary. Applicants must have the ability to work well under pressure and within deadlines.
