South Beach Comedy Festival Returns
CBS4 is a proud co-sponsor, for the third year, of the South Beach Comedy Festival, which once again bring top-flight comedians to South Beach for a week of performances, as well as give rising new stars a chance to shine.
The festival will feature top comics including one of the hottest stand-up acts, pimp extraordinaire Katt Williams. Emmy-Award winning Kathy Griffin will return following last year's sold-out performance. Comedy Central's Insomniac Dave Attell; smart and brash funny man Louis CK, Creation Nation's Billy Eichner, "Curb Your Enthusiasm's" Susie Essman and a host of others will perform at a number of venues around South Beach.
In one of the most popular features of the festival, a strong line-up of up-and-coming comedians will perform nightly on its outdoor, free stage on Lincoln Road.
In addition, rising stars will be competing for the chance to win a contract with Comedy Central, and CBS4 viewers have the opportunity to preview the acts of the finalists and vote online to help select a winner.
The festival will be held January 16th through January 19th at different venues around South Beach.

Vote For Your Favorite!
Vote for your favorite local comedian! (voting ended at 12:00 p.m. 1/16/08)
It takes a special person to make you laugh, and people like that deserve to be on stage. CBS4.com visitors now have the chance to make that happen.
Comedians from across the south competed earlier this month for the chance to perform on the Colony Theatre Stage during the South Beach Comedy Festival, a potential springboard to fame and fortune.
Semi-finalists gathered at The Improv in Coconut Grove, where 10 finalists were selected. Judges at the performance made their picks, but you can be virtually there by watching the videos on this page.
